Advisers

CO-REACH will be assisted in its work by an international group of external advisers. These advisers will provide the network with the additional expertise it may require in, e.g., the legal, financial, S&T and innovation policy, as well as broader political or diplomatic fields. The group will also include specific China-related expertise, which will be critical in developing and guiding the network s partnership with its Chinese counterparts.

Senior representatives from two European organisations have already been identified as (potential) members of what will become the CO-REACH Advisory Group.

They include:

• The All European Academies (ALLEA), a federation of European Academies of Sciences and Humanities. Participation by ALLEA has already been confirmed. 
• The European Heads of Research Councils (EuroHORCS), an association of 38 national research councils of the EU member states. EuroHORCs has appointed their vice-president (2005-2006), Prof. Par Omling (president of the Swedish Research Council) to be member of the CO-REACH Advisory Panel.
